Petal Glass Semi-Flush Ceiling Light

Replaced a cheap basic flush mount with this petal glass light and the difference is remarkable. Our plain hallway now has genuine vintage character that makes the whole house feel more curated.

Saw virtually identical antique-style petal glass ceiling lights in a vintage decor shop for triple the price. The glass quality and alloy finish here look just as refined.

The alloy base attaches directly to a standard ceiling electrical box without any adapter plates. Our electrician had it mounted and wired in about fifteen minutes flat.

Installed this in our entryway and the floral petal glass dome looks absolutely charming against our white ceiling. It gives the hallway so much more personality than a plain flush mount. Very happy.

We placed one at each landing of our stairwell. The repeating petal glass domes stepping upward look beautiful and tie the whole staircase together as a cohesive design element.

After a few months dust settled on the inside of the dome. Unscrewed it from the base and cleaned it with regular glass cleaner. Back to sparkling in two minutes.

When the light is switched off during the day the glass petal dome still looks like a decorative object mounted on the ceiling. Very attractive from below in natural light.

The glass dome was individually wrapped in thick foam inside a snug fitting box. It arrived without a single chip or crack despite a long delivery journey.

The glass feels properly thick when you hold it rather than thin and fragile. The petal embossing is crisp and consistent all around the dome with no uneven areas.

Make sure you read the recommended area. This works best in entryways and small corridors up to about five square metres. In a larger room you would want a bigger fixture as the primary source.

Tapped on the fitting and it has a satisfying solid density to it. Not cheap hollow tin. The screw threads on the glass dome mount smoothly without cross-threading.

I strongly recommend pairing this with an amber filament bulb rather than a plain LED. The warm filament tone glowing through the petal glass creates an incredibly cozy vintage atmosphere.

We put one of these in our powder room which has low ceilings. The floral glass gives the small space a boutique hotel bathroom feeling without overwhelming the tiny room.

The glass dome had a couple of light fingerprint smudges from the factory. A quick wipe with a glass cloth before mounting and it looked pristine. Minor but worth noting.

We have an older home with a lot of period character and this light fits right in. The rounded glass dome with the antique-looking hardware feels like it belongs in a 1920s cottage.

Looking up at the glass from below you can see the subtle embossed petal pattern in the glass. When illuminated the pattern casts gentle floral shadows on the ceiling around it.

The glass shade and alloy fitting look great. Just note that the E27 bulb is not included so make sure you have one ready before installing. I went with a warm filament bulb and the effect is lovely.

We have a narrow upstairs corridor with low ceilings and this semi-flush mount is the ideal scale. Not too heavy visually and gives off plenty of warm light for navigating the hallway at night.
