Washi paper lighting uses sheets of translucent Japanese fiber paper stretched over wire or bamboo frames to diffuse light with a warm, even glow. The paper's natural texture softens the light source without fully concealing it, so the visible warmth of the bulb becomes part of the fixture's character.
This collection includes pendant lights, floor lamps, table lamps, and a chandelier — each built around a washi shade in a distinct form. Pendant shades range from compact oval profiles suited to bedside or kitchen use to larger globe forms that work well over dining tables or in open living spaces. Floor lamp shades in column and mushroom silhouettes stand between 55 and 70 inches tall, making them appropriate for reading corners or ambient layering in living rooms. The table lamp is scaled for nightstands and side tables.
Shade diameters across the collection run from approximately 12 to 20 inches. Check each product page for its published materials, dimensions, light-source details, mounting information, and location-use information. For deeper guidance on pairing washi fixtures with room scale and light layering, see the Washi Lighting Guide.
