Mayu Teardrop Silk Floor Lamp

Standing five feet tall this lamp commands attention in the quietest most graceful way. Everyone who enters our home comments on the warm organic texture and serene glow.

We ordered the Large size for our living room corner. When illuminated at night the organic silk cocoon fibers reveal such delicate depth. It casts an incredibly gentle 3000K glow that softens the entire room.

The subtle irregularities in the silk fibers give it authentic warmth and soul. It softens the hard angles of our contemporary living room instantly. Worth every penny.

The layered silk fibers diffuse the light heavily so this lamp is strictly meant for relaxing evening ambiance. If you want direct focused reading light you will need a task lamp alongside it.

Shipping a fragile silk floor fixture had me nervous about punctures or dents. The internal reinforced foam cylinder shielded the teardrop body perfectly during delivery.

We bought the Small thirty two inch model for our tatami tea corner. It emits this soft glowing aura that creates the calmest atmosphere for evening meditation and reading.

Even in broad daylight when switched off the slender tapering teardrop shape looks like modern art. The matte black base provides a clean grounding contrast to the milky warm silk.

Because the shade is wrapped in genuine natural silk fibers you need to be gentle when unpacking. Once placed the weighted base holds it completely steady and upright with zero wobble.

At nearly four feet tall the Medium teardrop lamp sits beside our low wooden platform bed. It creates a tranquil Japanese inspired retreat without taking up excessive floor space.

Having the step on foot switch on the floor cord is wonderful. You just tap it with your foot when walking into the room. The warm white light wraps around our reading chair like a cozy blanket.
