Velour Petal Sculptural Chandelier

We spent months planning our home renovation and this chandelier was the final selection that made every other design decision fall into place. The craftsmanship and presence are simply exceptional.

The brass finish has a very tasteful aged warmth rather than a shiny gold look. Paired with the white gypsum petals it feels genuinely luxurious in a restrained European way.

The cord runs through the canopy without snagging and locks at the desired height cleanly. Our electrician appreciated how smoothly the adjustment mechanism operated during installation.

When we host dinner the warm light radiating around and through each gypsum petal creates the most intimate flattering table atmosphere. Our guests consistently say it is the most beautiful chandelier they have ever seen in a home.

The support structure holding the gypsum petals is reassuringly solid. Tapping the alloy arms confirms there is real substance to the framework. No lightweight hollow components anywhere.

We have seen many chandeliers that claim French vintage inspiration but look cheap in person. The Velour Petal genuinely delivers on that aesthetic at every level of detail.

After a couple of months a thin layer of dust settles in the gypsum texture. A very soft dry paintbrush applied gently keeps each petal looking fresh without risking surface damage.

Each petal has just enough surface variation to feel genuinely handcrafted. No two are completely identical. That slight imperfection makes the whole chandelier feel like a bespoke art piece.

We installed this above our master bedroom seating area and the room now feels like a luxury suite. The petal forms cast the most gentle warm shadows on the surrounding walls at night.

When switched off during the morning the white gypsum petals catch the natural window light like a hanging sculpture. The antique brass arms glint gently. Really beautiful all day long.

This is a large fixture and it commands the room appropriately. In our open-plan living and dining area the wide petal arrangement anchors both zones elegantly without feeling overwhelming.

Do not attempt this as a DIY project. The combination of weight ceiling bracket requirements and delicate gypsum assembly requires a licensed electrician with a helper. Ours handled it in ninety minutes.

I was genuinely anxious about receiving handcrafted gypsum shades by courier. Each petal was individually nested in molded foam. Every piece arrived in perfect condition.

The chandelier is magnificent overall and completely transforms our space. One of the gypsum petal shades had a very faint surface line visible only in raking light. Invisible once installed.

The gypsum material has a slight translucency when lit. The warm 3000K light passes through the edges of each petal creating a soft luminous halo around every shade. Truly stunning.

The sculptural quality of this chandelier is extraordinary. Just note that bulbs are not included. We used warm white LED spots and the 3000K glow through the gypsum petals is breathtaking.

We have very high ceilings in our stairwell and the full three metres of adjustable cord was exactly what we needed to position the petals at the right focal height. Fantastic design foresight.

The petal shades are absolutely gorgeous but they are genuine handcrafted gypsum so handle each one carefully during installation. With two careful people the setup went smoothly.

We chose the matte black version for our contemporary living room. The black petal forms against our white ceiling create such an architectural contrast. Guests always stop to admire it.

Hung the antique brass version in our dining room and the handcrafted gypsum petal shades have such a refined sculptural quality. They look like something cast by an artisan ceramicist rather than a light fixture.
