French Mid-Century Opal Glass Chandelier

The bronze ceiling plate pulled tight against our ceiling drywall without leaving gaps. The chain drop was easy to tailor to our exact table clearance height.

We opted for the 7-light 90cm diameter for our vaulted ceiling living space. It fills the overhead volume with warm gentle light and looks like a custom architectural commission.

Tapped the branch arms during installation and the metal feels very sturdy and well balanced. Once bolted to the ceiling box there is no wobble or sagging over time.

The milky drum shades soften the light output completely so looking toward the chandelier is gentle on the eyes. It casts a very flattering even light across our dining table.

We wanted a centerpiece with retro charm and this chandelier delivered completely. The antique bronze branches paired with the milky glass shades create the coziest warm glow in our seating parlor.

From the playful green trim detailing to the warm antique bronze framework this chandelier brought our entire dining renovation together. Could not be happier with our purchase.

A quick swipe with a dry microfiber cloth over the smooth exterior of the glass drums keeps them spotless. Very easy maintenance compared to complex crystal pieces.

Our food and tabletop decor look so vibrant under this lighting. The high CRI makes colors appear rich and natural rather than washed out like cheap overhead lighting.

Looking closely at one of the drum shades the green trim pattern had a tiny millimeter overlap at the back seam. Completely hidden once hung and facing the wall.

Even during sunny afternoons with the chandelier turned off the milky glass shades and crisp green borders catch the light like vintage pottery. Beautiful all day long.

We installed the compact 3-light size over our round breakfast table. The green trim adds just the right pop of retro color against our cream painted walls.

I was nervous about five individual glass drum shades arriving safely by courier. Every shade was encased in thick form-fitted foam and arrived without a single scratch or chip.

The chandelier is well forged and high quality throughout. The printed wiring diagram inside the box was slightly small. Our electrician had installed similar fixtures and finished in under an hour.

The opal glass drums look gorgeous but each shade requires steady hands when securing onto the bronze sockets. Having someone hold the shade while tightening made assembly straightforward.

The central column with the rounded metal ball accents gives the chandelier a very substantial sculptural presence. The antique bronze finish has a lovely aged warmth.

We bought the medium 5-light configuration for our dining room and the proportions over our six-seat wooden table look intentional and well scaled. Not too massive and certainly not dainty.

The chandelier looks magnificent once illuminated but bulbs are not included in the box. Make sure you pick up warm white LED bulbs beforehand so you can test it on installation day.

Hung the 5-light version above our dining table and the green patterned trim around the opal glass drums gives it so much vintage personality. It feels like an authentic mid-century European find rather than a mass-produced fixture.
