You can tell right away that this is authentic Spanish alabaster stone. The soft cloudy translucency shifts slightly depending on which angle you view it from. Absolutely in love with this lamp.

Natural stone variation is expected but my lamp has a slightly darker cluster of veins on one side. Once illuminated at night it looks very dramatic and authentic so it grew on me quickly.
