Does this lamp come with a bulb?

No — the bulb is not included. It uses a standard E27 base and is rated for up to 12W. We recommend an E27 LED bulb at 2700–3000K for a warm, ambient glow that complements the linen shade. If you plan to dim the lamp, ensure the bulb is marked as dimmable.

Is this lamp dimmable?

Yes — the Spire Linen Floor Lamp is dimmable, but requires a compatible dimmer switch (sold separately). You will also need a dimmable E27 LED bulb. Standard non-dimmable bulbs will not respond to dimming and may flicker or buzz.

What is the difference between the Black and Walnut finishes?

Both finishes share the same iron frame and off-white linen shade. The Matte Black finish gives a contemporary, graphic contrast against the shade, while the Walnut finish offers a warmer, mid-century modern feel. Both are equally priced and available in the same dimensions.

How tall is the lamp? Will it suit my room?

The total height is 60.2" (153 cm), which is a standard floor lamp height suitable for most rooms with 8–12 ft ceilings. The 21.7" (55 cm) shade diameter provides broad, diffused ambient light — ideal for living rooms, reading corners, and bedrooms.

What type of light does the linen shade produce?

The off-white linen shade diffuses light softly and evenly, producing a warm, ambient glow rather than direct task lighting. Combined with a 2700–3000K bulb and the Ra≥97 colour rendering, it creates a flattering, natural-feeling light environment.

Is this lamp freestanding or does it need to be fixed to the wall?

It is fully freestanding — no wall fixing or hardwiring required. It plugs into a standard electrical outlet via its power cord. Simply place it, plug it in, and it is ready to use.

Is this lamp suitable for outdoor use?

No — this lamp is rated for indoor use only. The linen shade and iron frame are not weatherproof and should not be used in outdoor, bathroom, or high-humidity environments.
