Caleta Woven Rattan Pendant Light

I looked at designer woven pendants that cost several times more. The quality of the rattan and the clean black hardware make this look just as high end.

It has that tactile handmade aesthetic you usually only find in boutique design shops while on vacation. Brings so much personality to our otherwise simple rental kitchen.

Our ceilings are over nine feet tall so having nearly six feet of adjustable cord was really helpful. We adjusted it easily to sit at the exact eye level we wanted.

Because the shade is made of woven fibers it is very lightweight to hold while wiring into the ceiling canopy. Took my partner about fifteen minutes total to mount.

Hung the medium size Caleta over our small dining table and the light filtering through the rattan weave creates such a cozy patterned glow on the walls. Really transformed our evening dinners.

Depending on the bulb you use you can see the light source directly through the gaps in the weave. I suggest using a frosted or amber coated bulb so you do not get glare when looking up.

Overall the pendant is very attractive and well constructed. There was just one tiny stray rattan strand near the bottom edge that I clipped off with scissors. Beautiful otherwise.
