Selene Cylindrical Alabaster Cordless Table Lamp

The serene amber glow through the natural stone creates the most peaceful atmosphere for tea time. Exceptional craftsmanship on both the stone carving and the wood base.

Even during the day when turned off the natural stone cylinder looks timeless against our white oak millwork. The walnut base gives it grounded visual warmth.

This is a tabletop accent light around four inches tall rather than a primary reading lamp. Within that purpose it looks like a high end boutique art object.

The light coming through the dense alabaster is completely diffused and glare free. It is bright enough to navigate the room but gentle enough to leave on while unwinding.

The stone has soft cloudy ribbons running vertically through the cylinder. When the lamp is turned on at night the mineral strata look like glowing amber clouds.

Tapping the front button turns it on instantly at the exact brightness level you last selected. The dimming transition is gradual and very smooth.

Because there are no cords we take it out to our covered patio seating area in the evening. The heavy base means the evening wind will never tip it over.

The shipping carton arrived in great shape and the lamp was nestled tightly in thick custom cut foam. There were zero chips or scratches on the stone or walnut base.

The stone is ground smooth with a soft matte finish that does not show finger smudges. The walnut wood base has a clean beveled edge with rich dark brown grain.

The lamp is well built and heavy. Keep in mind that natural stone varies from sample photos since mine has a prominent darker grey vein on one side. It still casts a lovely glow.

No need to keep track of a weird proprietary charging cord. I plug it into my bedside phone charger once a week and it runs for several evenings on medium brightness.

The small footprint makes it so versatile. I tuck it onto our narrow hallway console table where there are no wall outlets and it provides an inviting warm pool of light.

The fixture itself is pure sculptural beauty. My only minor note is the tiny LED charge indicator light on the base is somewhat difficult to see in bright daylight.

Because it is carved from real solid rock rather than hollow resin it has serious heft. You can tap the power button without shifting the lamp across the table.

Pressing and holding the base button dials the warm glow down to a gentle candle simmer. We use it on our dining table every evening without dealing with drippy wax candles.

The pairing of natural grained walnut wood with the translucent alabaster cylinder is gorgeous. The weight of the stone keeps it completely planted on our bedside nightstand.
