Vela Sculptural Stone Table Lamp

When the light shines through the Pandora stone at night the darker veins create an almost dramatic landscape effect. My husband and I keep turning off our overhead lights just to sit near this lamp.

Bought two for our primary bedroom nightstands. The warm light through the natural stone is so calming before bed. The push button switch on the cord is easy to locate in the dark without fumbling around.

We ordered the Natural Alabaster version for our entry console table. The stone has beautiful organic cloudy patterns that look incredible when illuminated. It is surprisingly heavy and feels like a true high end gallery piece.

Simple setup right out of the box with zero assembly required. Just place the lamp plug it in and switch it on. The warm glow through the alabaster makes our living room feel so relaxed in the evenings.

This is not some plastic faux marble. You touch it and feel cold dense stone and hefty steel. It anchors my home office credenza and brings a grounded organic touch to a modern room.

At just over twenty inches tall it has substantial presence without blocking wall art hanging behind it. The light tone is a pleasant warm white that feels comfortable on the eyes.

The courier delivered a box that looked pretty beat up on one corner so I was worried. Luckily the dense interior foam kept the lamp completely safe and unblemished. The lamp itself is five stars all the way.

The stainless steel feels solid with precise mitered edges and no rough seams. The alabaster slab has a nice translucent depth when lit up. You can tell real craft went into machining this lamp.

The natural stone slab came with slightly more pronounced mineral veins than shown in the stock image but customer service explained that every cut of stone is one of a kind. After having it on my desk for a week I actually love the uniqueness.

Do not expect this to illuminate a whole room or serve as a reading desk light. It is strictly an ambient decorative lamp. The stone veining is authentic and pretty but I wish the light output had dual brightness levels.

The metal frame has a deep dark bronze tone with a smooth matte texture that pairs so well with the white alabaster. The proportion at twenty inches tall fits my deep credenza without looking oversized.

Ordering high end lighting with genuine stone always makes me nervous about shipping. The custom dense foam box protected both the stone and the bronze frame perfectly. Plugged right in and worked right away.

It honestly looks like an architectural model or art piece when turned off. When you click the push button switch on it lights up the alabaster panel evenly from behind. We get questions about it every time guests visit.

This lamp weighs a ton because of the solid stone piece. Make sure you place it on a sturdy console or dresser. The light itself is gentle and warm. Only taking off one star because the cord length was just barely enough to reach my floor outlet.

I was hesitant about the higher price for the Pandora Stone option but seeing it in person erased all doubt. The amber veining against the gunmetal metal frame is stunning. The glow in the evening creates just the right mood in our living room.
